Client Service Policy for Providing Goods, Services and Facilities to People with Disabilities
James Wilson Barristers Professional Corporation ("James Wilson Barristers") is a professional service firm, committed to providing legal services to across Ontario and Canada.

James Wilson Barristers will strive at all times to provide its services in a manner that respects the dignity and independence of everyone involved, including people with disabilities. James Wilson Barristers is also committed to providing people with disabilities the same opportunity to access our goods, services and facilities and allowing them to benefit from the same services, in the same place and in a similar manner as other clients and contacts.

James Wilson Barristers will communicate with people with disabilities in ways that take into account their disability. When members of the firm are aware that a person has a disability they will ask the person with the disability for his/her preferred method of communication (i.e. e-mail, verbal).

Assistive Devices

James Wilson Barristers is committed to serving people with disabilities who use assistive devices to obtain, use, or benefit from its services. The necessary assistive devices can be made available for people with disabilities while accessing our services by speaking with our Receptionist or the member of the firm representing you.

Use of Service Animals and Support Persons

James Wilson Barristers is committed to welcoming people with disabilities who are accompanied by a service animal in the areas of our premises that are open to the public, unless excluded by law, keeping in mind and accommodating member of the firms, clients or guests who experience animal related allergies.

James Wilson Barristers is committed to welcoming people with disabilities who are accompanied by a support person. Any person with a disability who is accompanied by a support person will be allowed to enter James Wilson Barristers' premises with his or her support person. At no time will a person with a disability who is accompanied by a support person be prevented from having access to his or her support person while on our premises. James Wilson Barristers will require a signed Acknowledgement and Authorization form from the person with the disability if the support person is involved in any confidential written or verbal communications between James Wilson Barristers and the person with the disability, while on James Wilson Barristers' premises.

Notice of Temporary Disruption

James Wilson Barristers will provide clients and the public with notice in the event of a planned or unexpected disruption in the facilities or services usually used by people with disabilities. This notice will include: the reason; anticipated duration; and alternative facilities or services, if available. The Notice will be placed at all public entrances and on James Wilson Barristers' website www.jwbarristers.com.

James Wilson Barristers' goal is to meet and surpass client expectations while serving clients with disabilities. Your comments on our services are welcome and appreciated. Feedback can be made as follows: in person, mail, email, fax or phone (see our contact information). Please allow ten (10) business days of receipt of the feedback to receive a response.
